What is ads.txt?
Ads.txt is an industry standard that allows publishers to publicly declare which advertising systems are authorized to sell their digital advertising inventory.
A typical ads.txt entry contains an advertising system domain, publisher or seller account ID, relationship type such as DIRECT or RESELLER, and optionally a certification authority ID.
Free ads.txt Validator
The PubsRate ads.txt Validator helps publishers, AdOps professionals and developers check ads.txt records before publishing them on their websites. The tool runs directly in your browser and does not require you to upload your file to a server.
What Does the ads.txt Validator Check?
The validator checks the basic structure of ads.txt records, including the advertising system domain, seller account ID, relationship type and optional certification authority ID. It also identifies duplicate records and common formatting problems.
DIRECT and RESELLER
The third field of an ads.txt record normally identifies whether the relationship is DIRECT or RESELLER. DIRECT indicates that the publisher directly controls the seller account, while RESELLER indicates that the account is being represented by another authorized entity.
